I’ve just finished reading Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl so I will definitely have to make an effort to read the Paris book.

Try Aagrah cafe in Clarence Dock. Always friendly (bordering on enthusiastic) and “tapas” style portions, I don’t know bout you but I never finish my bowl of curry, and these portions are perfect. (and tasty)

There’s also an aagrah by BBC leeds but never tried it

This was the place where I had my fist ever curry (that I can remember anyway). Circa 1990-93. It still looks exactly how I remember it, and the service seems to be as lax, too! I haven’t been back – I’ve had too many mediocre reports from people(like yourself) to warrant it!!

If you find a place that sells Krispy Kremes made on site, go for it! They are definitely worth it for a treat. Unfortunately, like most fried donuts, they go stale really, really fast. I’ve seen them at Tescos here and there, but I would never buy them at a grocery store, because they’ve probably been around for at least a couple of days.
